Wish Mercury would put this kind of effort into developing a better bravo drive and curing the junk gear sets that exist today

that engine with a imco scx in a 26 american offshore cat would run 90 plus i think.

Merc assembled those dohc motors for.chevy and i think did all the alum castings too

Imco doesn't, A Mercury version of a SCX seems so obvious.

That dohc zr1 long block back in the day (25 years ago) was a cool 20g plus tax and shipping , including the wooden shipping crate adjusted for inflation , those are decent prices

Yes they did....and the engine was designed by Lotus i believe
