k-plane install???

Does anyone have a template for installing k-planes? Where is the optimal placement for them?

The optimum placement is going to depend on the boat. You can see my attached pic. I looked at Von's new Pantera and his are moved 1-2 inches farther outward than mine.

They are mounted about 3/4 inch above the running surface.

Make sure you DO NOT mount them flush with the bottom. You will have Major drag issues. I went up about a inch from the bottom.

see the "whats wrong with this picture" on the velocity posting.. Good info. I would also get with the Man. for optimum settings
