This is much better than Tim's threads. It's got pictures of shiny parts and I've almost convinced myself I want a Hustler with Arnesons. Tims threads do not make me want to buy a Mistress.

Not sure what's so confusing. An ASD prop sits much further back on the boat, yes. The prop is fully submerged when anchored, yes. For an unsuspecting swimmer there is no sign something is underwater. Much like stepping on an anchor (that's my metaphor). As stated earlier at least with a bravo you can always see the top cap offering a slight indication that something might be underwater. I could even argue that the ASD is a tripping hazard to someone that doesn't know any better.

Granted the drive can be trimmed to the moon, that might solve that issue...

The guy said it's a 4" difference drive to drive both on a box. Your stuck on, so much longer, they are so deep in the water, you cannot see them off plane.. if you can see a Bravo then you can see the stand off box of the arneson. Your holding on tight to a lot of misinformation

No one is saying they sit deeper. Anything that is submerged might as well be invisible. If it's invisible and it sits back further there is higher risk of being hit. That's my simple reasoning. I'm done beating a dead horse

If you can't see my props you need better glasses and this is a real bad picture

I'm losing track, is that supposed to be a dangerous one or a safe one?

Well here is my knowledge of the 388 hull... I own a 2000 388 with 700's (500's with SC/Inrcooler package). I Put the IMCO SCX's on it and they have been bullet proof (I had the boat 5 minutes and blew a Bravo XR). As far as the speed/handling, I use no tab at all for running up to 85, above 85 it will want to chine walk a little but only on smooth water. If it is choppy or rougher it will just fly nicely with no tab input. So on calm water above 85 I give it a little tab and it handles great. No ill handling affects at all. Running above 95 I will actually take a little tab away and it still runs flat and stable. The only time I have experienced a little instability is 85-95 on calm water, not in good choppy or rougher water. That is from my personal experience.

I have never owned one only worked a few and rode in couple the issues seem to appear above 100 and the boat wants to move around alot

I sometime leave these in random places (behind a pillow, under a blanket) around the house to train the kids to stop, drop and avoid.
