The smaller formula's would top my list, I do know of a 241 Liberator thats completley re-done for 1/2 your budget, rebuilt engine, new transom, floors etc. The person who sold it to this guy is in my group on facebook. LOT of boat for the money. If you go here it's like the second post down.

I know they have about a million pictures of the restoration, I can get you in touch with the guy who did the work -- I think in the 2012 timeframe.

I have a line on a 233 Formula hull on a trailer if interested. Full resto needed but you could make it as reliable and fresh as you want.

keep in mind nothing before 88 is going to have a bravo as they didn't exist yet. Pachanga ran through 91 so the later years will have the bravo(starting in 89 maybe?). FYI IIRC the pachanga's ran a foam core transom. although at this vintage of boats your looking at I don't' really think it matters what the heck the core is made out of you're going to encounter some amount of moisture in the transom, bulkheads or stringers. it's really going to be about condition vs. manufacturer. .

I didn't know 88 was the start for Bravos. Looks like my boat will be an 88 or newer, lol. I looked at an 88 PP Conquest and an 88 Nova just this weekend both with bravos so it was at least 88 they started.

How are the Libs in +3 footers?

I don't do facebook but I did look at the pics. I would like to see this boat. Can you have him email me? [email protected]

As good as any 23-24 foot boat in those conditions. That's for sure, the ride is tough to beat for the size. It's actually a 23'8" boat, not including the platform. The larger libs have always been known as wave crushers for the size.

It does however have a King Cobra drive, which got a terrible reputation for because of a shift cable problem. This is the original King Cobra Drive so parts are readily available, or at least much more available than the later generation.

Asking price is $4800 because of the time of year and he said he would even deliver to Detroit.

22 avanti will run in that water if you'll run it. Takes a bit of easeing into it. Just have to watch out for the occasional hole. Carelessness in a boat that size can get you hurt quick.
