I like that Python IF it's a well built one. I hear some can be roughly finished.
Formula 24 would be a good choice in that price range.
This a bit left field, but if the motor runs, you'll have a forever boat. https://newyork.craigslist.org/lgi/boa/5899120430.html (BW Temptation 20)
Good luck!

Looked at this Baja outlaw this morning. The boat was super clean and I tapped on as much glass as I could found no anomalies. I decided I wanted something a little roomier like a nova or 242, so I passed on it. For a 24ft boat it's kinda tight. When I got back home I went to look at the ad and it was gone. Texted the guy, he said the next person he showed it to bought it. True that the good ones go quick.

This sunsation is asking 8000 so with your budget there's plenty of room for transportation costs, tlc, and upgrades. Seems like a winner if its solid.

If that doesn't do it for you my buddy has a late 1990s baja 24'. I'm not sure what model it is (24 sport?). It's a sit down boat. Its clean with a 330/b1 and a new transom. But its not exactly what id call a wave crusher, nor is is a great overnight boat. I don't even think it has a cabin door, you just crawl under the dash. More of a day boat. Anyways its for sale and reasonably priced. Its currently not on c.l.

Thanks for tips on these boats. I'm looking for something roomier than these boats though... Like a wc nova or a formula 242. I looked at a baja 240 which sounds exactly like what you describe. However I do very much appreciate getting inside info on boats for sale like your buddy has.

You cant go wrong with a 25' Nova with twin 260HP Mercs. I know its a little bigger than you want, but it is a great hull.

Saw this ad. I do wish I could afford twins but more fuel and 2x maintenance nix it. For what I want to do I know I would be safer with twins but I should be OK with a healthy single. Looks like a great boat though.

I'd be all over this if it had a clean and stock 454 B1 with low hours.
