Some news on the Iconic Marine Group front—the Pro-Line Boats brand is splitting off from Baja, Donzi and Fountain.

Interesting but maybe not good for Fountain, Donzi, Baja. A previous Speed on the Water article pretty much said that it was Proline keeping the go fast boats afloat.

Yes it did. And at the time that article was published, that information—based on sources within then Baja Marine including Johnny Walker—was to the best of knowledge correct.

This is an interesting development and we'll follow the story.

See, I do read your stuff.

Not saying that splitting off is a bad thing but it will be interesting. I wish all the brands the best of luck.

Pretty sure they were only keeping them afloat back before Iconic Marine bought them. Ever since then, they have been pumping out Fountains and Donzis

Not trying to stir the pot but please define pumping out Fountains and Donzi.

Again I wish them luck. Would not like to see more go fast brands disappear.

I never really thought the more hard core fishing boat only line belonged in the same factory as Donzi/Fountain/Baja but also understood Proline to be good quality and the 'bread 'n butter' stuff for business. Sounds like the sell off will simplify the operation for a bigger push on the remaining three.

Always want the best for these three important brands. I know this is nit-picking but IMO, the word "Iconic" sits better with the three sports boat than Proline. Hope sales boom into 2017!

I was at the factory a couple months ago and was talking to lil Reggie. They had alot of Donzi and Fountains going out the door and in the build stages also.so it seems they had a few on order anyway lol
