We were selling them for $95-105k with the 525. They were 75-80 with the 496. The 27 was only $5k less dealer cost and not even close to the same boat.

The plastic stamp in logo. It was free to have the seats embroidered with the 29 stitched into the seats and the large colored 29 stitched into the engine hatch. The Fountain Mufflers included the Y-pipe so exhaust was routed through the gimble. It was also over 2 ft long and mounted to the fiberglass under the swim platform. It added 50-60 lbs to the very back of the boat and made the boat super quite and took off 1-2 MPH.

Figured I would update this thread:

I have kind of moved on from considering this boat. Dealer was not flexible on price at all and I really couldn't justify spending $60k on a boat with no records (especially no maintenance records).

Very cool boat, but I just cant spend that kind of money on the "unknown".

yeah ,but isn't that true with all set ups that have a silent choice? they all have the Y pipe there and when the silent choice flap opens up you are directing exhaust through the tips and down the Y pipe at the same time, the silent choice does not block off the Y pipe, right?

There was no reason to have Y-pipes and Mufflers both. There is a reason to have silent choice and the Y-pipe.

The 05 29 with 575 I bought from you had Fountain mufflers (drilled out) with no Y pipe. top speed was 81 mph.
Sold it a few years ago.

With $55,000 price tag and boat not dialed in correctly I think it's not worth 55k and previous owner price was right for boat. The imor v-10 with 625hp weights 300 lbs less than a merc. And puts out at least another 100-125 hp. Boat should be in low 80's. Seen plenty of 29' fevers doing 75 with with stock motor. Gotta agree with vintage chromoly keep in mind a budget for modifications.

I agree that boat should be in the 80's. I owned a 29 for about ten years with a 500efi and could get in perfect conditions 74.8 on gps. Looks like a very clean boat. Get it dailed in and you will have one great boat.

I think velocity did a lot of the interior work on it when the boat was in FL. Kenny at lets talk boats may know something about it.
