The Ultimate Gunfight, Lake of the Ozarks
I was re-reading my old magazines, lack of new material you know where,(was that an "overshare"?) and I saw this spread of last years get together on Labor Day. Looks like a really good time and would like to find out more for next year. Anyone have a link so I can find out what class I would be in? Any locals that would know where we can get accomodations close to the lake for a family of 4?

What kind of boat do you run? Length? Power? And be specific on the power.....there are many classes.

Its a 01 Ultra 247 (mod V, 24'-7") w/Whipple SC'd HP500EFI. Not really sure, exactly, on the hp. Probably 700ish? Do they have a link showing everything? I know its pretty small compared to most in the magazine.

You would be in the class one ahead of me. V1M1 is mine (22-26' boats with naturally aspirated modified motor). In your class is Leo Wiseman.....he ran 102 this year!!! Friend of mine and one hell of a boat driver!!!! Leo runs a 26 foot Velocity.

102 eh?? Thats moving pretty good for the class. What kind of powerpalnt is he running? I have not had an opportunity to dial mine in so I guess I'll have to see where I stand. Either way it looks like quite a get together. This is the first summer we have not commuted to TN. We dearly miss the area the people... oh, and the water. Nothing compares.

he's running big cubes (not sure what anymore) with a big blower. About 900 hp. Standard bravo too.....seems to do well with it though.
