I've swam off my boat numerous of times, I just get on the guys boat I raft to. :whistle:

I don't know where that statement comes from. The older boats had an optional swim platform, and the new boats with the bustle on them have a retracting ladder built into the hull, and there is a molded step in the bustle that makes boarding from the water quite easy. In fact, the bustle that some people like to make comments on, also provide protection from the drives when boarding from the water.

I'm pushing the better half of 270 lbs, and I had zero issues boarding from the water on our SL 44 with the retractable ladder. The only complaint / issue I had with the ladder was it didn't last long at 120mph when I forgot to tuck it back in.

It came from the previous page of posts to mine where others were asking how to reboard and that not many get out and swim in the NE and that they weren't designed to be used that way as well as my unfamiliarity with them. I did however see the bustle as an advantage of tucking the drives underneath while hanging out. Not trying to upset anyone.

Beautiful boat all the way around. Outerlimits showing off their innovative designing capabilities once again. And I assume they've incorporated a ladder on the side somewhere.

So this may seem like a stupid question to those in the know, but knowing very little about new outboard technology and being taught no question is stupid , how come the picture in post 58 showing throttles and shifters for a three engine boat shows only two shifters and two throttles ?

The controls are enabled to provide automatic throttle synchronization and shadow mode for up to four engines (where two levers operate three or four engines).

This boat is badaasss. Pulls a solid top end number with 1200 HP hanging off the back, plenty of warranty and plenty of seats!

Sure the boat doesn't have a Fountain/Formula/Sunsation molded swim platform but then it would take heat for having a 2 ft platform, altering the overall length!

I'd love to order one in black hullside/white deck/white bottom and black motors. Keep it simple, old school.

If Dan or AnimalHouse tune in I would love to know what it gets at cruise for fuel economy and if they think they can tweak a higher top end with prop work.

When you have young kids hanging out at the bars/restaurants doesn't work. We raft up with a big group every weekend and the kids swim all day and the adults party. We have a party barge in the group and he has a smoker and grill on the boat so we eat well too. But floating all day in my inflatable lounger, beer in hand, is my idea of a great time!

I don't think outerlimits boats is typically trying to appeal in there boat designs to the crowd of people with kids jumping off and around there extremely nicely painted exterior/interior and high end Alcantara interior boats.
They are known for there eye catching designs, speed of the boat, handling of the boat.
I like to get into a tie up and swim with my boat but driving after drinking is not a thought or option for me. Get to a dock and parked for the evening and then I can put a few back.
Different types of boating and crowds use different types of boats.
Every style boat is not for everyone.
