Scale offshore hull?
 

Hello everyone I'm saying and I'm new here. I grew up on the water and boats all my life and tinkering with building new Contraptions and ideas anyhow my latest idea and I can't seem to find out if there's anything out there already but does anybody build or run sort of I guess like a 50% scale version of any one of the catamarans or monohulls out there? Even a cabin cockpit as well....Just scaled down. At first I was thinking a little 50 or so outboard but got to thinking and how sweet would it be to build one around say a little Toyota 4banger 22R inboard ...Maybe surface Drive ? Like around 12-16' length.....ish?

I dunno, I think it would be freakin rad as hell you and a few friends go out to the beach or a little baby or big lake or something and jam through the chop or race or whatever.

There have been a few different ones over the years, almost always outboard powered. I had a Mini Hawk for a few years, had a lot of fun with it. The Mini Hawk was a scaled down 35' Cigarette.

thats a cool little cat. There are tons of places that splashed the little Cougar Cub as well. Shouldnt be to hard to find one of those if ya dig deep enough.
