We never got enough people as the min was 10 buy in and if we ever could get 20 or 25 the deals got better. I did not know what else to do here as I think we had about 5 people and never grew from there period. It completely stalled dead in the water NO PUN INTENDED. haha

I was shocked for the low turn out since everyone up here works on their own boat and possible needs Marine specific tools. Saying this in a good way.

So if we can get 10 or more 4 SURE buy ins, I can see what the price break will be currently since boating season is getting under way now.

I need 10 min from here . And if even 20 the better - 25 would be great.

Its funny to me that people will spend over $50k on a boat and not buy a $500 scan tool to diagnose/service their efi engine.

BUP 03-08-2017 10:23 AM

I see used ones and the Merc DDT in which the DDT only scans Mercruiser but other MEFI 1 2 3 on top of for sale at 1000 dollars and up. And people buy them.

Got it and will text you the cost for pay pal or check however is the best way for payment on your end. I have to get your manuals out of storage first that will take a couple of days before I get to it. Thanks.

I bought mine last summer for the $499. Great tool. Cord is long enough to reach the helm on my boat. Anyway that's why I'm not in!

PROWRENCH 03-08-2017 07:32 PM

Still In

I'm assuming you bought the TechMate Pro? Or did you buy the full Diacom software?

Can anyone give me some pros and cons of each. Can the diacom software take data logs with spark advance, knock input, etc.?

buck35 03-09-2017 09:28 PM

Just out of curiosity, is there any advantage with a tech mate pro over the older version with a mefi 1? I realize it is limited, but will the newer version do more?

Wasted Income 03-10-2017 08:53 AM

The screen is bigger. Can display more data at once.

BUP 03-10-2017 10:55 AM

This boat has ran out of prop again. back to the top it goes. Diacom has a tech line for all and any questions and are very helpful.

I think we are at 5 only. Sorry guys still trying here. Thanks for hanging in there.

Back again for 2018 ------- A group buy in of 10 will get the discounted version of the hand held techmate pro marine scan tool. Save some bucks compared to the current pricing on the diacom / Rinda website. Who is in this year. I' ll give it till the mourning of Jan 15, 2018 as the closing date. So who is in ???? Discounts are applied per how the diacom unit one is buying. The basic kit to the upgraded kits. Most likely expect 25 to 75 bucks depending on which level of kit one is buying the scan tool.

As of today here is current pricing in the link along with kit scripts. Shipping charges will apply even if one bought straight thru Rinda / Diacom.

7.5 days left before I order with ya or without ya. Did everyone revert back to marine carbs engines.

I am shocked 4.7 K views and could not even get more than 5 people to grab a current scan tool for the price range of 500 to 800 bucks last year. Not one person on OSO takes their boat to a shop to get worked on. What tools are you guys using to work on your efi / mpi apps ? Just throwing it out there.

underpsi68 01-07-2018 01:50 PM

John unfortunetly I bought one right before you started this thread. A scanner is a must have. Found my sensor problem in minutes.

BUP 01-07-2018 02:12 PM

Yep John I remember I think you bought Diacom 2 years ago - order it thru the lady who answers their phone

kr1276 01-07-2018 08:08 PM

I am in for for the full kit

ALL_IN! 01-08-2018 10:53 AM

I'm in.

BUP 01-08-2018 01:02 PM

thanks for stepping up -- we need 8 more to go to make this a deal.

If I can not get 10 up here the deal is a no go. Sorry about that - I am trying and have to say - I really did not think 10 diacoms for 500 bucks to 800 bucks was going to be this hard to throw out there. Especially from a community who works on their own stuff 100 % of the time.

Heck the cost of this is about the same or even less than one poker run entry fee or a weekend of gas in the tank or the drinking tab for the weekend.

4.8 K views and 6 days to go

John ; Nov 2007, 496 mag , Serial # 1A077709, Family 7M9XM081BAS, Count me in. Thanks John

BUP 01-10-2018 01:57 PM

3 down 7 more to go. Do not know what else to say other than efi engines one needs a scan tool.

Do not forget Diacom scans Merc outboards so if working on boats as side job, one is going to need a scan tool.

BUP 01-11-2018 01:07 PM

to the top

Monday deadline almost here. 7 more to go. its looks like a long shot.

TorchLK 01-12-2018 10:47 AM

I'm out. Ended up buying one on my own last fall. Thanks for organizing this though BUP

RichM617 07-28-2018 06:10 PM

Do any of you guys want to rent me your diacom-rinda? I only need it for about 3 days to do some tweaking on my engine. Mefi 5
