Folks the Apache is the superior boat if not by technology then by quality alone.......I have thumped on Cigs many times in the rough......Cig is great but Apache is THE BEST.....just my .02 worth........sorry I made it a dime

I would go with a new 42 Stepped Tiger with #6's. I would have the boat customized to have a middle sterring and 6 stand up bolsters. I would have Tres rig it and dial it in at t at Lake X.
Not sure about motors but with the steps it should be faster than a straight hull Apache with the same motors. Since I can't buy a new Apache (at least what I always thought was an Apache) I would have to go with an older model.

If I had to go used I would pick the Apache.

Some may argue that the Apache would handle rough water better. If a 42 tiger can't handle the water I don't wan't to be out in it!
