BBLADES To Debut Two New Props In Miami
New BBLADES wheels coming to next week's Miami International Boat Show, https://speedonthewater.com/in-the-n...props-in-miami

A big diameter 4 blade, interesting. Looking forward to learning more about the 4 speed.
|
I heard that Thewhitemongoose here on OSO designed out the specs on them. lol.
(just kidding, don't want to make Brett mad...see link for reference) http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/p...ml#post4527085 |
We were given some prototypes to test...if anyone has questions Im happy to answer. The results were amazing. Have quite a few on order, its a game changer prop.

Johnny - thoughts on my application??
For those reading along, whippled 525's with XR's. |

What did you test them on and what was better about them vs the other props you were using? Top speed, cruise, hole shot, MPG?
We tried them on 28 Pantera, 27 Avanti, 27 Kryptonite, 22 Donzi(totally eliminated the porpoise), 30 Superboat, 27 Progression, 28 Velocity and some others im forgetting. Matt lets try the ones off the Cobra. On paper it should be perfect. |
Sounds good my boat also like bow lift, any improvements in MPG or you guys don't monitor that?
|
Thanks Johnny!

Usually vs a Bravo One. Gains were anywhere from 0-4mph, hole shot almost always improved. Midrange characteristics were comparable to a well hooked up Bravo One.The main difference was the amount of bowlift. It can take a 28 Pantera from a very flat riding 75mph to a loose (not squirrely, but loose) 80mph boat...with less trim. It's incredible. We are putting a set on our Cobra and I imagine ill find one on the Kryptonite as well. Brett and Brad hit the nail on the head once again!

Johnny, please expand on the 22' Classic you tested.
Was it a Bravo boat? what year hull? Did it have the standard length drive with deep prop shaft? My 96 has the prop shaft set at approximately 7" below the round of the bottom. I run a Merc Rev 4 with pretty good success. With a 3 blade Mirage or Turbo 1, my boat does porpoise at midrange and low speeds. |
The Velocity had one of our 800EFIs in it. Could get the boat up on the pad with hardly any trim, basically level. It liked it. Midrange was the same.
The Donzi is a 009 edition, standard lower, 565 merc. Runs mid 80s with a BBlades 28 Bravo One, but requires tab to stop the bounce in the midrange. The 4-Speed leveled it right out. No major top end change but the boat has a ton of natural bowlift already. |
Thanks, Johnny, I am thinking my VR 1 Velocity would like it.

Thanks for the info John.
The newer 22 has slightly different stringer/strake spacing and I believe the 009 has the drive set a little higher; probably still similar enough. Love to test the new prop before spending $$ to lab one of my existing props... |
Did the new prop make any improvement on 30' Superboat?

Yes, massive. That boat needs all the lift it can get. Runs especially nice with a lefty.

Now I am really interested. I think they might be a good fit for my 33 zx. Turning b1 28s now but think these may been a fit me all around.
