The 850hp class 1 motor has been around for a while. Nothing new

Any idea of the rebuild schedule on these?

Woohoo, we all can save $.20 on 89 vs. 93 octane. I think this hobby just got super affordable, I`m thinking of getting a second boat! :D

I don't thinks it's as much 20 cents a gallon... It's more like being able to deal with the crap available at the gas dock with out worrying about blowing crap up

i think its more a factor of trying to buy 91 on the water in certain areas. Thats why i spec'd 525's on my eliminator.speedster.

So figure these are 180K a pair, plus the cost of the fiberglass holder they fit into......Safe to say I won't be getting set!

I just ordered 2 of these engines....with the $ .20 savings, it really opened up my out look on performance boating...WOW..what a deal

As phragle stated I think the lower octane requirement is more for ease of refueling on the water, not to save pennies per gallon. If I were in the market for/could afford one or two of these the fuel requirement would have no effect for me because I trailer everywhere and I only fill up with 91 ethonal free.

These are the twin turbo motors minus the turbo, not the class 1 package. They are 9 litre (550+ci) with a full 2 yr pleasure warranty. Mercury reports that they should last 450hrs between rebuilds. Big money motors, but they beat the heck out of the blower and turbos for life expectancy! Standard drive is a #6.
