Exatly.

In my Sonic I was ass on elbows with that tiny cockpit on a 36' boat. Take out 14" and the people on the rear bench might as well be sitting lap upfront with me.

^^^ you don't have to worry about the room in a sonic unless you plan on putting $350,000 worth of motors in it. These things were created for the ultra expensive cats

Might make for a bad-ass looking transom - although a Swiss-cheesed one.

Remember Lightning Performance Group has offered V-16's for quite some time now. They are, however, two V-8's tied together as opposed to a single block. You didn't see those engines flying out the door into cats.

My point was not so much for my personal boat but just for Vee hulls in general. If it is a cat only motor then great.

Yea I get what you're saying. My point is just that these are another un godly expensive motor that probably won't even be a re-power option unless some one has the resources and ambition to rebuild the whole stern of their boat. Otherwise we might find them in a couple 7 figure cats here and there... I suppose I was too optimistic when I saw the earlier reports of 1200 and 1600 NA motors being revealed.
