This is based on the LS. It has a single block and it lengthened in the middle. So instead of having 2 long heads there are 4 regular LS heads. Injectors and coils are already available LS parts. Not every thing is new and specialized to the engine which should help cost and reliability. It will be interesting to see how it plays out.

I have been wondering the same!!! I have been following the V12LS.com guys as they have been working on a similar project geared towards the automotive side. Here is a quick vid of their setup in a 1st gen Camaro youtube.com/watch?v=leKL99cIOR8
Little product info here as well youtube.com/watch?v=cAGAB_bmaOQ
You will have to copy and paste the above because this antique forum will not allow youtube links apparently.

I must've been under a rock, but this is very interesting. QC4V power levels, naturally aspirated, and with a majority of off-the shelf parts. I'm seeing this as being a serious competitor to the QC4V, with all the power potential, equal or better durability, and the benefit of being based on a very common architecture. Downsides would be packaging length, higher friction due to twice as many cylinders, and lower BSFC because of that. This engine might be slightly easier on drives due to the higher firing frequency (lower torque oscillation at WOT).
I have not seen pricing, but I would expect that this engine could be sold profitably for something approaching half the price of a QC4V. I'd say that's a compelling case to bring this engine to market right there.
I'm local to Detroit and I'd love to see one of these in person.
