Pass on the Merc filter and I am telling you for your own good. They have a pad and glue that hold down the spring in the bottom to keep the filter element in place. I cut filters open daily during the boat season plus clean / flow test fuel injectors Have been cutting open filters for over 20 years on boats and before that on Motorcycles - the jist guess what I see in the fuel injectors and the basket filters of the injectors - That pad coming apart that is internally inside of those Merc water sep filters. I am giving out huge free advice on that one. I have mentioned this before inn the past up here many of times.

If I can send pics to someone to post up here I will - I have no idea how to post pics.

Racor or Wix or Baldwin or even Sierra is better than the OEM Merc filter.
