Best mini starter for 454 bravo 1 setup ?
 

Hi. What's the best Mini Starter Motor for a 454 big block bravo 1 setup. Running Gil exhaust manifolds. Motor is standard rotation. Looking for performance,reliability,and most importantly ease of removal and installation with exhaust manifolds on and motors still in the boat. Looking at the Powermaster 9612 at the moment. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Ayuh,... I just go to my local Napa, 'n get a marine rated P/M starter,...
But,...
Be forewarned, get the new bolts with it, as they're slightly shorter with the P/M starters,...

^^^^^ Yep the prices are cheap and might be concerning. I have had good luck with their marine starters (perm magnet) and Mando Alt. I will say when I workered in the parts business for many years the new staters and alt aftermarket were usually made in China any ways.
