Suspension seats???
Any ideas for converting front bucket seats to suspension seats with a retrofit system or possibly entire new seats? This would be for a 24 Skater and possibly a 308 Skater.

Look up shockwave seat bases.....Not cheap though
|
Those suspension systems are ridiculously priced. Obviously been feeding on the government Tit too long.

You may also look into the side by side off road type suspension seats. They don't use the fancy hydraulic seat bases, they just have webbing or bungee cord material as a shock absorber under the seat cushion. They make a huge difference in the RZRs. PRP, Twisted Stitch, Pro Armor are a few brands to look at to see how they work.

Shockwave now offers a standalone seat base that is pretty reasonably priced, they are around $800 or so.

Are they mounted on a pedestal or on the floor? Thanks, Dean |
They mount to tabs, so a pedestal or you can mount alum/stainless angle tothe floor

do you have any pictures to share on this installation? Thanks, Dean |
Do not use suspension seats with webbing. You will regret it.
I would do some research and you will discover a shell type seat is far better for your back and body than a suspension seat. The SCORE series Trophy trucks are all running Sparco or equivalent type of seats. If you opt for a suspension system that adopts a base hydraulic mechanism than that is completely different. In that application the weight will kill you in a small cat. KAP |

Without belts that is a non issue |

I have been using Corbeau suspension seats in my one boat for almost a decade now. They are the most comfortable boats (really Jeep) seats I have ever been in. And I don't treat them or the boat like they are in a show car or something and they have never split or hold water and still look great. |
