Where to purchase Holley EFI

I have been researching EFI most of the winter and now it is past time to get going on this. I have talked with Alex Haxby several times and he has given me some good advice - thank you Alex. It seems that the Holley Terminator EFI is the best fit for my application. I would purchase through him, but he suggests I just go with Summit or Jegs.

Any suggestions on where to buy?

Do yourself a HUGE favor and buy the system form a SERVICING dealer, not the internet. What Jegs and Summit dont tell you is you need the dealer software to tune it. Most dealers what mess with a system they didnt sell and I understand why. They have to pay 2500 for the software and the up dates that come with.
I had one installed last year by MER Performance and Mark has adjusted on the system several times since then. I have a neighbor that bought one from Holley direct, thinking he could tune it..........wrong!

WTF are you babbling about? The Holley EFI sofware is FREE from their website. All you need to do is download the *FREE* software, plug the USB cable into the ECU and your laptop, and go tune.

Bill 3, I bought my Dominator setup from Blake Hughes at 417 Motorsports. He is usually able to beat the prices from Summit/Jegs/Speedway. In fact, most of the smaller shops will work with you on price.

I've tuned a lot of stock GM ECUs, some Megasquirt stuff......the Holley is the best I've messed with.

I am here looking for recommendations before going through a retailer. I prefer to support the small guy with hopes of getting some support in return.

He said in his first post that Haxby told him to go elsewhere.

Sorry. Must've skimmed by that. It's called one word wide first post syndrome thanks to the ad.

I bought mine from Brian Orlandi 734- 586-0448
Orlandi Performance.
Set me up with everything I needed to do the install myself.
I did the sequential port injection setup.
I love it.
I have a 598 with a BIG solid roller cam and the engine idles without any problems in gear at 750 RPM

and his price was lower than I could have bought it from summit even with a coupon.

jwurl 03-30-2017 08:14 PM

I bought mine from haxby but was installed and tuned by mark at Mer performance . Mark was not a dealer at that time but he is now. Give him a call . Jeff wurl

mike tkach 03-30-2017 08:56 PM

mark at mer would be a good choice.

Just one. My own. But it makes 940 rear wheel HP if that counts for anything?

http://youtu.be/5hut768h2Sk Either way, the info you posted is completely incorrect.

Sorry for the high-jack Bill 3. Back on topic. Call Blake, he will get you squared away.

Another option is Matt Bell from Redline Motorsports in Bloomington, IL. He knows a *little bit* about Holley EFI....was kicking some ass in Memphis last weekend.

.

I actually talked to Blake the other day for the first time asking about their 417 Intercoolers for the Holley Hi-ram LS intakes. He was extremely nice and helpful especially since I wasn't buying anything just yet. Took all the time I wanted to get me all the info I needed. I wish he was closer so when it came time to buy my Holley EFI I could go through him and have him help me tune it. Seems like a stand up dude, if he's close to you, that's where I'd go!!

Yea, great guy for sure....and an incredibly talented fabricator and welder.

I was planning to go with one of his A2W setups on my rig, in fact I had dibs on one in the first batch, but unfortunately couldn't fit it in the doghouse on my truck without hacking the firewall. E85 and water/meth have been working pretty well for me though.

As far as ease of tuning, the Holley is by far the easiest I've worked with. The GUI is well organized and easy to navigate. Tuning stock GM ecus is a pain in the ass...I don't ever foresee going back. In fact, I have a 2nd Dominator sitting on the shelf for another twin turbo LS project I'm building right now.

Bill 3 03-31-2017 05:13 PM

Thanks for the all the input guys. The day got away from me today or I would have called 417. I plan to call Blake Monday.

Cory H 03-31-2017 05:40 PM

I have 2 complete Cutler EFI systems for sale. Absolutely nothing wrong with one, the other has a bad ECM that will not power up the fuel pump relay. These are 1000CFM billet throttle bodies with individual runners and injectors to manifold runners. Rectangular port intakes appear to be made by Dart. Worked very well for years on 502's. Again, one works great. Someone could probably use these components with a Mega Squirt ECM and have nice systems.
