Default The Dealer

Anyone know anything about these boats? I was just looking at a yacht trader and see a 47 Fountain "The Dealer" with red hull in there. I've seen a 42 as well. How many were built? Anything special about them other than color (assuming all were red?)

I remember seeing them years ago in the magazines and always thought how sweet looking they were. Just wondered if anyone had an history on them. Was this an option package, or just a couple custom boats or .....?

If memory serves me correctly, they were built by/for Ralph Martin in the old Everglades Marina days...the beginnings of the Poker Run era.....hence the name "Dealer."

I think it was like a limited edition . It has a real narrow cockpit and plush interior . I think it is all white leather cockpit. I was told buy one guy that the red one there is in bad shape . Some one else told me it was OK . I dont't know . I think I saw a black one once .

I thought they were built for Norval at Everglades, also a 47 APACHE. Norval used to do a poker run to the Keys also.

And the 47. This was one of those 47s they called the Competition Series, based on Reggie's old race boat.

I think the "Dealer" Fountains were set up with right side throttles.

i love those 47cs boats, i looked at the red one several years ago but i cant do red. from what i understand there were only a hand full or less built. 1/2 cabins, small cockpits, triples allthough i have seen one in the traders recently advertised with twin staggered 525's and 6's. im sure its a sled with that power. there was a 47cs in the ohio midwest area a few years ago that had triple 1000's and 6's for sale but dont know if it sold or not. it had the same stripes as the staggered 525 boat.
