What Kind Of Boat Is This?

First off, happy Easter. I was traveling to my wife's grandmothers house in white stone, va yesterday and while driving through saluda this caught my eye sitting beside a car wash. Can anyone tell what make boat this is? This is solely to kill my curiosity. The boat is a 3 man stand up, looks like #3's, obviously the hatch shows big power, and the sticker on the back says fuccella offshore performance.

Funny how people park stuff and sorta forget it's there. Some mow and weed wack around it others just let the stuff grow into it.

The HIN will tell you

True, but if you look at the pic of the starboard side, that's a giant mud puddle behind the boat and I wasn't going back there in my church attire, and I just got back to North Carolina, so getting it is not an option.

Looks a bit like a 33' Powerplay...

34 Sutphen?

That's what I thought, but the strakes are different, and I think the boat is in the 38'-40' range.

The fairing is different plus the chines on the Sutphen curve up to meet the bow.

PPs don't have the hull crease.

Sutphen606 04-17-2017 11:22 AM

Old (er) Scarab?

Bostonirish 04-17-2017 11:35 AM

Sutphen

PARASAIL941 04-17-2017 11:43 AM

Lear Marine? They were a Hot Tub /Spa manufacturer in Ft Lauderdale that popped a narrow 36' Cig hull with flat deck. They looked good , the owner used to keep a hull out front of his business on 17 th St Causeway. A couple were built with big power , but rumored to come apart in the rough. W

TeamSaris 04-17-2017 11:55 AM

Doesnt have the Sutphen bow flare. Does seriously resemble a 34 Superboat though

TBAG 04-17-2017 12:03 PM

Rotten I'm sure.........

I think you're right. I don't think its a superboat, but I just googled 34' superboat and the top decks are identical.

kind of got the lines of an old Scarab Ninja but the cockpit surround is different, maybe it was modified to a race layout. Bow rise sure looks a lot alike . . . .

Team Archer 04-17-2017 02:14 PM

Not a Scarab the body line goes straight and the Scarabs follow the chine.

mitchie 04-17-2017 02:46 PM

The lines are very very 34 superboat. The windscreen on the last 34 notches down steeper at the last 5 or so inches. Maybe the Bartel????

ChristianGott 04-17-2017 07:29 PM

Definitely not a Sutphen. What about a 34 Saber, or somebody who was using the same molds before them?

very cool, what power is under that big hatch?

Mhamay 12-05-2019 10:20 AM

540's. trying to decide if I'm going to put something reliable in there or put a set of 555s in it which the boat originally had. probably going to steer towards something reliable that I don't have to be underneath the hatch all the time on

I am sooooooooo smart. Nice boat. The molds became the 34 superboat after Bartel.... Coen has since sold them, but I don't know where.
