Havasu sun and gelcoat

I have been looking at a 37' 2001 Outerlimits, it's in oso classified , I went and looked at the boat in havasu last summer, and I know it was there about a year before. The yard it's in says the cover keeps blowing off, and they got tired of putting it back on, it only covered the cockpit anyway, I know it needs a new sun pad/ hatch deck re-do. My question is, what do you folks think is the long term damage the sun has done?

Now I think of it, I think it has a wrap, maybe it's ok?

mostly cosmetic but in the Havazoo sun that can be a lot. Constant UV can rack hell especially on custom finishes, many of the red and orange fades lose a lot of depth if left out for long periods of time. The sun is rough on everything.

So, it's been baking out there for over 2 years in the sun with no full cover and only a cockpit cover that comes off routinely? OUCH.

On a side note, If you need a certified Merc mechanic to give it the once over and his professional opinion, I know a good shop out there that the owner can give you an honest no BS assessment.

HOw much water is getting in and collecting who knows where with that cover off? That may be your biggest worry.

Its been a while since I've been to havasu, but I thought they were Nazis about having to pull your plugs before you left? So hopefully its not collecting too much water. Plus how often does it rain in the desert?

also the boat is painted not colored gel

If not below decks also think about any cockpit accoutrements that may be made of wood, ie vinyl covered panels and seating.
