Default Whippled 500's in Cig

I am thinking about adding some Whipples the the HP 500's in our Twin Step Top Gun when the warranties are up. I was wondering if anybody has any experience with this setup.

The boat has XR drives and the motors should be making about 750 hp and 820 ft lb of torque after the mods. I have heard some people say that the TS is not stable at faster speeds. I figure the mods will put me in the mid 90's. Any info would be appreciated.

Chris

Spine Tickler is running twin 575SCs last I heard, with Whipple Intercoolers, and Cleaver Props. I was told he was around 94-95 MPH with Bravo Style drives. I am not sure of any more details, but that boat runs like a raped ape.

YO!! Maybe 5 for 4 price?? (hint hint hint!!!!)

I know of at least one other person who is debating adding a whipple to an HP500 in the next year or so. Maybe somebody (Pfaff?? DSM?? Dustin?? Teague?? ) would be interested in a group purchase deal??

This is a pic Dustin sent me while inquiring about whipples on a cig, don't know what brand of boat it is though.

I talked to Bob Teague about that setup for my 38 Formula. He says his standard practice is to pull the motors, change head gaskets, upgrade drives to TCM platinum.

I know this is no sales pitch either, my buddie had a Whipple put on his boat by some fly by shop. Two weeks later XR drive went, two weeks after that head gasket went.
