This is what I get for listening to the guy at auto zone. I knew that Auto Zone has a belt measuring device in the back in which I did not see any of that end take place. He comes out and tells me my Volvo Penta belt is 915 mm and gives me the Dayco saying its 920 mm. Anyways later today, I starting thinking about it and looking at the belts - that did not sound right on the mm measurements - So I ended up measuring them myself -- he gave me the dayco inwhich was 2352 mm and the Volvo belt is 2343 mm outside diameter I came up with measuring. As stated both are 6 ribbed. Almost a match but IMO a tad big is the Dayco and used belt that has mostly grown a tad.

Anyways I really need a 2343 mm or very close to it. I know Bando has a 2345 mm I do not know what Gates has. Thanks and sorry for the miss info on my part. Prob 2340 mm thru 2345 mm is ideal but maybe 2340 since used belts gain a tad in length over time.

So who has the low down on how to read serpentine belts and V belts to cross over. I have some marine apps that have Gatorback Goodyears belts and Conti now owns all that.

Is there an instruction or even a belt manu video on how to read the different belt manu numbers listed on these belts. Seems like none are same for listing the numbers and letters.

I used to be able to cross all belts but still can not find any info on the end.

995K6 mfg by goodyear so 6 ribs and 99.5 inches --- is that correct ??? Its a gator back because of the slits in the ribs.

The K is for pitch or depth of the rib which is correct ? pitch or depth for the K ??
