Motor and prop

Recently bought an 88 ranger with a 150 xp with a 14 1/4 x 25 raker prop. I cannot tell how high my rpms are or me speed since the gauges currently do not work. I feel like it takes awhile to plane out. Any info would help thanks!

screamandfly.com they know a lot more about egg beaters. rangers are good boats, from what I hear.
