CAT OWNERS- Gallons per hour Burned??

I am looking for information from other who have 30-35 foot catamarans,
How much fuel do you burn per hour? Also post what your engine setup is, NA, supercharged, turbos etc.
1 engine, 2 engines ?
How are you calculating gallons per hour use also

They are right. If fuel matters you need to go OB boat.

As an aside, I use about two gallons a mile at 120ish.

DirtyMoney 06-01-2017 08:46 PM

1.3 miles per gallon averaging 90mph. 368 Skater 700sci's

Tinkerer 06-01-2017 08:56 PM

I just know that I burn a LOT less fuel than with the 34 SCARAB and cruise a lot faster and have a lot more fun.

If you're worried about Fuel you better call Stacey at Wakezone and check insurance!!!!!!

I will say going from a boat that required 93 to my outboards on CC that burn cheap gas is like one of my favorite parts about it. My dollars go so much further with it. So if you are worried about fuel. Go outboards.

Everyone has got the wrong idea, this is not a financial problem. It is a study of how many gallons are needed to transport a boat a large distance, I was figuring about 90-100 gallons per hour for a 35 cat with big blocks and blowers

Double post please remove one

220 gallons. The 700s go in starting next month and my burn should be about the same as Dirty Money

Not to get off topic, but did you ever consider and/or price the new 860's?
