I havn't seen any negativity toward Activator, I go and visit Mark regularly when I'm on the Island. I thank he builds a fast and strong boat,I thank he has a good understanding of how to make the steps work, I personally do not think the Interior is equal to the performance. Everyone looks for different things in a boat, I do not see how a chart will clarify witch is the best boat.

I would say that Activator would be the fastest of this group in fairly smooth water, even oven over SB. Rough water, Superboat is the fastest of the group.
Quality? I can't answer that question about Activator. I do think you're not giving Superboat enough credit for quality... not sure why.

Herbert,
I wouldn't wait on Pat to build you one for $150,000 when I can sell you my 496HO 28 for the low low price of 125K.

Apparently, you guys have not seen the APBA Cape Cod race from June 2002 (except you BJ for obvious reasons).
The yellow and green Activator of none other than, BJM, smoked, stomped, and dominated the whole fleet of boats in that race. Superboats, Kryptonites, Sutphens and whatever else tried to manage to navigate the North Atlantic were not even close.
Now, let's fastforward to Orange Beach 2003. A very rough water race indeed. It was, once again my friends, an ACTIVATOR that was so far out in front of the rest of the pack, they might as well left the rest of the boats at the dock.
I rest my case.
