Found a 1991 272 SR1 for sale.. Pics look nice, has twin 365hp 454's in it. Questions: With an older boat, what are some of the issues that I should be looking for as far as what those year boats had. What are some of the issues other members have had? What do you think the top speed should be with fresh motors? Main waters would be lower Lake Huron, St. Clair river, and upper Lake St. Clair so I know that these boats handle the water well. Thanks for feedback.

Check transom and stringers for rot. A moisture meter would be your friend, They are a little tail heavy with big blocks. With healthy motors boat should run over 70.
