Tips needed, drive trim ram unequal!!

Just trying to put back the drives on the boat and i just cant get the pin to slide in both trim ram because they are not aligned together... played with them up and down trying to match them and there is always pretty much athe same big inche difference...

what is my solution? First time it happens to me...

thanks again as usual!

Take the lines off of one of the rams, should help you line them up. You'll have to bleed them by running the drive up and down a few times, just keep an eye on the fluid level

Crack the fitting on the ram that needs to move.

I thought about that as a solution but wished i could find another way (first)
and second i was also wondering if that was normal...might have a small leak in a ram or the pump ? They usually are supposed to stay exactly where they were when the drives were removed... right?

They are tied together. Just push on the longer one and as it moves shorter the other will lengthen.

^^^Yup. If you push one in 1" the other pushes out 1". Called fluid displacement. :)

If that doesn't work(pushing}, use the trim button to extend them both to max.

Yep, just put the pin in the "longer" ram, and the drive. Then use the weight of the drive to push in/down on the ram, and it will push the "shorter" one out so you can align and push it all the way through.
