After nearly 3 months wait, my latest toy has arrived. Slipped through customs last night after a minor adjustment in taxes was agreed upon and I'm not expecting a receipt!

Truckie bought her from the port (45 minutes away) and was waiting at the marina 8.am in Thai style, asleep in a makeshift hammock under his truck.

More to come,
RR

Opened the doors and the boat is in sideways, still strapped to the trailer. Lots of head scratching about how to get her out. Have done them before but the boats have been on cradles so they just slide straight out.

Bring on the travel lift!

More to come,
RR

P.S. Boat is sideways, might as well be upside down too! Sorry.

Container is too long for a travel lift so they decide on two travel lifts, one at either end. Get a couple of guys up top to attach a few cables and away we go.....

More to come,
RR

P.S. Can a mod fix these stupid photos from an iPad!

OK, harbor master comes out and says stop what you're doing, the lifts are too wide and the angle of the cables up top is too great and you'll chew up the cables, it's happened before. Get a crane in to do the job! And get those two guys off the top too.

Coming back a bit later, I'm sure I'll have more to come!

Crane arrives but I think everyone's gone to lunch. :(
Go for a wander, someone's got some nice shiny new props and 8" shafts!

Come back after lunch.....

RR

P.S. Not posting any more pics until I can clear up this upside down photo b.s.

OK, all unloaded, a few pics to come.....

Boat has been on its port side and there is quite a bit of engine oil that has drained out through the port exhaust. Surprised the numpties didn't drain any of the fluids. Stick my finger up the exhaust tip and there's oil sitting just inside. Where has the oil travelled in order to get there? Is it harmful or can I just sit her upright for a day or so and the oil will go back where it belongs.

Ill be having it serviced anyway but wanted to know if there could be more issues.

Try again with pics.....

Cant drive the tractor over the door (lying down) so had to drag her forward, sliding the jack stand on timber until it was far enough forward to get a ball under the hitch.
Not much room on either side, about 3/4 inch!

Cleaning work started, got the boys doing overtime!

so they laid the container on it's side and put the boat in. then rolled container right side up? do you have a pic when you first opened the door and saw her sideways? that would be one for the ages. pull the plugs from both engines before turning engines over. some pistons are gonna have oil on top of them. in fact, turn engines over with a wrench so it doesn't blow all over the place.
