Where to buy trim tab indicator "buttons"?

Does anyone know where i can buy the spring loaded button type parts that are in a mercury racing mechanical trim tab indicator? they are the parts you see through the glass on the indicators that slide as the cable extends/retracts. i had to change out a cable and 2 of them fell into no mans land behind the dash. i have a pic of the remaining part but cant figure out how to upload it...

FYI a thin wire can be inserted into the little hole to hold it in place while the spring is compressed, this allows them to stay on. Once it gets remounted, you can careully remove the wire, and the springs will release and they will insert into the slots. Also, put a towel down just in case.

I had the same post this time last year - Ocean Performance jumped in and shipped me a couple. Good guys!! I bought a couple extra too for when I inevitably dropped them down into never never land during the install.

And yes - what Cig Rocket said about the wire.

outstanding thank you guys! good tips on the install, i had no idea how they were held in when i was taking them out, needless to say i was surprised when the blocks holding these things turned easily to the side and they fell down to where i couldnt get them.

It starting from scratch, before you take one of these apart, adjust your indicators so they are all in a straight line. Then you can straighten a paper clip and insert it through all 4 indicators buttons, and keep it as one solid unit.
Or you can use separate paper clips for each one, but that's a little hard to get in there when they are still installed in the bracket. Or two paper clips, one for drives and one for tabs. If you really want to secure it, bend the paper clip into a right angle paralleling the cable, and wrap a tiny zip tie around the tail of the paper clip to keep it secure for a while.

They also have those buttons that have LEDs in them now too. I don't know who makes them, but the very end of the button is an LED making it easy to see at night.

Check with Teague and CP, to find out what's right for you.

I think adding the LED buttons to the mechanical indicators isn't too much of a job. But the FULL LED indicators requires major investment, and/or DTS/SmartCraft controlled engines.
