miami vice series reboot set for next year on nbc.... With vin diesel

oh great, now Tubbs and Crockett can have superhuman abilities, fall from 10 stories without a scratch and have their vehicles defy all laws of physics.

Seeing as the Miami Vice movie was such a piece of crap.....I am not counting on it being a success.

Ugh, I just heard this on the radio! The Fast & Furious people doing Miami Vice.:mad: Incidentally, I just watched part of Furious 7 last night. They have to be the dumbest, most far fetched movies ever made! So far from reality that it's ridiculous! Lets face it, Miami Vice can never be recreated! Part of what made the show iconic was the 80s! The fashion, the modern architecture, the music, the flashy colors on the boats and cars, etc.. No reboot would ever be able to be the same.

I think there's certainly potential for a good comeback, but a good, solid show would appeal to the few intelligent viewers.

Surprised Michael Mann would release control of this. He's pretty controlling over Miami vice. I'm sure there will be plenty of high end boats and cars. The dude that wrote 6 of the fast furious movies is on board to write it sounds like. And the way I read it there's no confirmation that vin diesel will actually act in the show, it's just his production company. I'd rather seebit come back to a more edgy station like Amc, Netflix, HBO, FX, etc. I just can't watch watered down bubble gum standard tv shows anymore from basic cable.

The Opiod culture/ lifestyle sure is different than the cocaine one !

Hmmm, wonder if they will build a Honda or Mitsubishi themed boat ? :)

Oh come on...a series based around flat bill cap wearing douche flute huffing guys driving obnoxiously rattley honda civics and lifted diesel pickups spewing black smoke out of 18 inch stacks sticking thru the bed doesnt interest you?

It will be a wakeboard boat, painted black and neon green covered in Monster stickers and 47 speakers on the tower blasting justin beiber and katey perry, special guest bad guy Bruno Mars....
