Throttle return springs

Anyone running throttle return springs?Been thinking about putting them on just in case you get tossed around they may help pull the throttles back some.

Do you want to hold the throttle ALL the time? If your just cruising the ability to leave it in a set position is pretty convenient .

This right here.

Buddy had them in his 36 Apache and they were more of a nuance than anything. Especially on casual boating days.

For hand throttles, I've never seen return springs used. For foot throttles I assume the unit itself has a return spring or they are hooped to where you use your foot as the throttle return.

I had them on my Cigarette. There was enough tension that if the cable broke they would return to idle. Not enough that you had to hold them all the time.
