Financing
I, too have used Essex Credit. At the table they allowed me to tag the trailer on to the financing. And, my boat is a 1987. They're pretty easy to deal with, and they're understanding and flexible.

Key Bank I think is in Ohio and has no problems making loans on performance boats. I had started with another well known broker who quoted a rate then raised it over 1 point. the bank he used didn't like the name Fountain because it was a performance boat. Be sure the lender you select understands performance boats. Good luck, you might want to hit the boat show circuit there are many hungry lenders there.

VAGRANT, we have newer BT in our club (on our members page of our website), a 43 with T Blower BBC's, awesome boat, cuddy is HUGE, but he has mixed luck with blown twins pushing that thing around, I think he has lost faith in the realiabilty department, even hinted of returning to carbs for that reason.
We really wish you the best.
Keep us posted....
PS, I know where a 2001, 33ZX T 500 HP's is for cheaper than that, new with 14 hours on each motor, Nancy and I took this boat out for about 2 hours a month ago, 79 GPS at 4900rpm,
I made an offer Friday and did not hear back today!
My boat returns to Donzi next weekend for some warranty work/upgrades.

Credit Unions are certainly the way to go if you are a member of one. I tried Essex and they wouldn't let me borrow 100% of the purchase price. I don't own a house, and had a car loan at the time I was seeking credit. My credit union gave me 100% of the purchase price on a 1987 boat...granted it was about a third of what you are looking to borrow, but it was a great experience for me...
