I have personally owned ( and Raced) 6 fountain powerboats. I rode in the boat on Saturday for about 100 miles with the owner around LOTO
This was one of the best looking fountains in the country.

On Sunday morning, the owner and his wife were following me in my 53-OL, for a breakfast destination. The 42 Poker run began to take on water around the dam.
We were able to get to a shallow area, with docks to salvage the situation, before it went down and rested on the bottom ( 30').

The Towboat USA and Atlantic Divers did an incredible job of responding and floating the 42 Poker run in a couple of hours.

The team at Performance Boat Center, responded immediately , and arrived with the trailer (and a team) to assist getting the boat our and back to there shop.

The owner has had this boat for many years, and it was unfortunate incident.

But my hat goes off to the team, leadership and management at PBC, that despite it being a Sunday, were ready before the boat was floated to help and get it there establishment.

Like Insurance,.................. we often do not know the value of customer service, and public service to you need them the most . No one was hurt.

I noticed that the boat was recently for sale in the $350K range. What happens to it now? Totaled by insurance and sold with a salvage title or just dry it out and sell it as never salvaged?

Boats don't get salvage titles like cars. I doubt it will be totaled after a short submersion in fresh water.
Salt water is completely different and most submersions get totaled by insurance.

The story I read on FB was that a line came off the sea strainer and caused it to sink.

It is (was) a beautiful boat - was peeping at it last week at PBC. I'd guess a very fun ride.
