Tank, I dont feel right about giving out information quite yet, if things get worked out civilly between parties no need to sling mud. If it goes into a legal battle, hell yeah I will eventually post everything.

Everything anyone ever wanted to know about MEFI3:

http://www.pleasurecraft.com/manuals/L510004.pdf

Section 5-2 through 5-12 covers what the ECM is and is not capturing. As others posted above, no RPM band values, just total time.

Here is MEFI4/4B:

My bad.......Looks like the MEFI3 records only engine run hours and the MEFI4 does record the hours in 1000 rpm increments.

I took my boat to a trusted shop a few years ago to double check the fact I had bad compression. They double checked it, did a leakdown test and checked the hours. When they checked the Hours by the ECM it cam back at around 500 hrs lower then the hour meter. I was told that the wiring was probably swapped out with another boat at a shop previously to try to track down a problem and not swapped back. The boat ran perfect still so I put a new hour meter in it and sold the boat. I will never trust a hour meter or ECM now and verified that I do know how to check an engine for compression properly according to the techs results being the same as mine were. So guess how I check now...compression test.
