fuel sender calibration on 1999 lightning
 
can anybody tell Me the procedure for adjusting the fuel level sender in tank , has 2 screws on top empty and fuel , or where I can buy a new one , thanks

this for 3 wire sender. If you 2 wire it's on there site also. CENTROID PRODUCTS

When tanks are full, set the full screw so the guage is a little past full.
When you get down to 1/4 tank or so, go fill it up with fuel. If the tank is 160 gallons, you should have 40-45 gallons left.
If you have more or less, the next time it gets down to 1/4 tank on the guage, adjust the empty screw accordingly.
Do all this with the boat in the water for the best results. My fuel guage reads almost a 1/4 tank different on the trailer.
My fuel guage and a friend's are pretty accurate when I set them the way I described.

Thanks , what happens with mine is it stays on full till there is no more full in tank then goes to empty, I put in 2 gallons goes to full !
