The Windows in that boat wouldn't be a problem at all for a race boat, and alot safer. I've seen smaller on the race course. I hear it will race Super V Extreme.

Obviously you're talking about submarines.

I cant imagine how much harder it is to do close to the same speeds in a Vee vs a cat in a kilo. That should be the big story

can not recall a kilo run done by a cat trying to break the record in the past 10-15 years. Shootout passes yes not Kilo passes.

If they were done there are pleasure built boats not custom kilo style small race boats being built that run 200+ mph

Many of the manufacturers MTI, Skater, Mystic, Outerlimits could build a cat to run way over those speeds with 1650's or way way over with some 2000 hp engines.

The numbers the V's of Outerlimits and Fountain are reaching is extremely impressive but a well designed cat will always have the advantage on the speed and stability at those speeds.
Just like the V bottoms have become IMO
The risk rewards of going those speeds as a manufacturer just doesnt make alot of sense except bragging rights

That can’t be true, I saw a video from fountain about a V that was a “cat killer”

An open cockpit/full pleasure 388 will run well into the 180s with stock 1350s in a flying kilo. With the new engine technology, all the boats are capable of going faster than anybody should be going - including the big Vs.
