I have six that were on the recall. I have received six replacements from Kidde they came in separate boxes. Just take new one out put old one in the box, put return label on box. Call Fex Ex and they pick at your house.

Hi Clustergear,

Did you receive "comparable" replacements for all 6 of yours?

Thanks in advance,

Dave

Yes All looked same as originals, red ones replaced with red and white one replaced with white. New ones have stainless steel pull pin not plastic like old ones. The trigger is a sealed unit, you no longer can see the plastic valve pice under trigger. The new boxes have a circle on the box stating that they are new style. New ones all came with new bracket. They fit in old brackets

I just checked my white portable fire extinguishers that came with my 2013 formula. Both are on the recall list. The woman from Kidde said, I should receive the new ones January 28th. She also said if I didn't want to dispose of the old ones myself, to ship the old ones back usung the return shipping label.

I have to commend kidde for the recall. This is how a business should be run.

F2-Speedy, they gave you a reference number where you can track the fire extinguisher(s). If they haven't shipped ,call them up and ask them where they're at.
Millions of fire extinguishers have been recalled. If you fear for your safety buy new ones. Then when yours come in you'll have the right amount of fire extinguishers to actually fight a fire

My replacement came yesterday. Had to trudge out to the barn to get the old one out of the boat to be shipped back.

Mine came a few days ago with a return label but no instructions to return - it is for a jet ski but does not fit in extinguisher location so I guess I will keep the old one there because the new one can not be properly secured. If my ski ever burned, I am going into the lake and not fighting a fire under my rear end...
