and do the racers have any liability for crashes? So if the white boat damaged the CMS boat do they have to pay for the damage or is that just the cost of racing?

Accident
at about the 7:28 mark

Yes, Tomlinson was the throttleman.

Pharoan fled the country immediately after the race, fearing liability!

Someone needs to come up with an easier way to measure prop slip.

Racing. Dale Earnhardt Sr wouldn't have been racing longer than a year.Maybe less than a half year even. LOL.

Do the race organizers and stewards examine the videos and attribute blame?
I follow F1 (cars) and accidents happen every day. Very often, stewards resolve it as simply a 'racing incident' but if one party is deemed to be at fault, they are penalized with points on their racing licence and time penalties or grid position penalties for the next race.

Do they do anything similar with high end boat racing?

that was their first race and from what I was told the center motor got washed down and they were headed to the pits instead of going to the center of the course unless sinking as instructed... The driver Jim was was alright after a long recovery from getting hit in the head by the skeg of Pharons boat.. IMO because of the speed difference between those two classes , they should of never run together
