I own a 2005 LaveyCraft boat very similar to the one for sale. We strictly lake boat on Lake Mead and the immediate area. The water can get a little interesting at times. Actually look forward to being in the boat, because it handles the rough water really well. Nobody is riding in the bow seats, but its a kick in the head. Great all around boat. Does everything we want. There is enough room up front to seat four. Most of the time it is 2 tho.
My boat has a 525 and it will do close to 80. That boat with the 496 is likely a 70 mph boat. The build quality is seriously top notch. I think their price is inflated and that is why it is still for sale. That being said, good luck finding another boat like that one. They rarely come on the market anymore. I still own mine, because I couldn't replace it. Michael |

very rare to find one with the 525 due to the fact that most bowrider people aren't looking to spend the extra $$ for a blue motor. Would be awesome to own tho!

DCB makes a very nice product, one of the top boat manufactures period. I don't know that exact boat, but it sure looks good and if it is in as good condition as it appears in the add, you won't find much else to compare.

Thanks Derek Any more info on the baja? Is it like this one? Used 2009 Baja 277 Islander, Morris, Il - 60450 - BoatTrader.com |
There is a mid cabin Velocity in the classifieds. It would be a great choice, Good riding fast hull with a dependable 496 Merc.

Hi All,
I got in touch with the owner of the boat listed below and he still has it!! Local Marina blue motor tech recommended the boat to me. I am going to take a look at it in April when he comes back from Florida and gets it opened up for the summer! Anything I should look for when looking at this boat? Also what do you think of the price? I am getting really excited to look at her. Primarily being on big Sebago lake in Maine will this handle chop on that lake with no problem? 2005 DCB 28 Extreme powerboat for sale in New Hampshire Thanks Derek |

Just wanted to make comments on this brand. Lake boat --- small chop handler only. Also the brothers whom built these could not tell me one bit of info about a hull serial number boat of theirs inwhich was only a 2 year boat. This was back in 2007. I gave them the HIN and they could not, nor willing to give me any info about anything. Zero, they said do not even have a manu build sheets for anything. I thought that was very odd and told them so. I had an Essex boat in at the shop that had MANY issues for the engine side. Again this was a 2 year boat with 21 hours on it in my hands. |

Hi All, I was hoping to get some insight from others with experience with the 2005 DCB 28 Extreme I will be looking at her some time in April when the owner returns from Florida. Some questions I had were. What to look for as far as issues with this boat What are your experiences with chop ( I will be primarily on Sebago Lake in Maine and 2'-3' Chop is the norm on the bigger section of the lake) Drivetrain Combo - Maintenance, Drivability, Reliability, Performance Interior Layout - How much space is there, FunctionalityAny other suggestions would be helpful. This is my first Speed boat per say as I have a 22' Four Winn's Bow rider now. 2005 DCB 28 Extreme powerboat for sale in New Hampshire ThanksDerek |
Hi All,
Hope your all enjoying your boats this summer. I never ended up with a new one this season but still looking for next season now! Any one with some knowledge on the newer interceptor? Coolkat26 or deck28! Thanks |

I really like this too!!

Not sure why your link didn't work properly, I'll try..... https://www.boattrader.com/listing/2...ssx-103330303/ I don't know Chaparral well but that boat appears to be anti fouled. (Bottom paint) Antifoul will take away a few mph in top end speed and also effect resale value on a high performance boat. Avoid keeping a sterndrive boat in the water if at all possible, corrosion issues can be awful. Unless you're going to keep your boat in the water, I'd encourage you to look for something that's never been antifouled. It can be removed but depending on how it was prepared and applied, it's a very big job. RR . |
Thanks for the input. Thats the stock black hull. You or anyone have experiance with the 26cat from shockwave?
thanks |
Make sure you check insurance costs before you purchase a cat.

thanks I wasn't sure looking at the pics, the way the black hull seems to run through the bottom of the first "S". RR . |

Hi All,
New to the forum, and joined because I am selling my four winns h210 in search of a bigger faster bowrider with room to roam. I spend most of my time on sebago lake in maine which in my opinion is far to rough for my fourwinns. After searching endlessly for a bowrider from the normal crew (fourwinns, cobalt, searay etc..) that will hit 60mph and have some room to roam for the family. With a budget of 85k I am hoping you guys might have some input. I really liked a listing of a 28' magic i found but then found out they were no longer in business. Anyways just open to some ideas. I will list some input to my prefrences below. 2010 or newer, 24-28' simple colors (dont care for all the bright colors) swim platform 60+ mph capt call bowrider thanks |

I’d still look at 41 apaches. For 85 you can probably find one with small power. You’ll pull more skanks with a 41 Apache than any other boat just add a 30’ bow rider seating area for the skanks to tan in and don’t forget the stripper pole. Just my .02 |
like this one. lol!
