I just offically registered today...although I have been following this site for about a month or so. There is a lot of great info. here! Being in WI, my boat (Malibu Sunsetter)is winterized already. However, I am in the market for a 21-25ft. late model Baja with a big block of course, but am still open for options. Still plan on keeping the Malibu for those ski runs after work on the Mississippi River back-waters :D

There are a bunch of us hot boater that boat out of Alma, Wi. A couple of us are OSO members. We mostly run pool 5 and 5a and once in a while 4. We make it down to La Crosse about once a year. We'll have to hook up next summer. We do a Spring run in May called the RAT RUN. Usually 75-100 boats and most are hotrods. There are also a few Poker Runs planned for this summer.

Good luck with you search for a Baja. I own an old one and boat with a bunch of newer ones.

Welcome to the board. I actually just sold my malibu sunsetter this spring so i could get my fountain. I loved that boat. But the new one is a ton of fun also. I would check the classifieds for some boats and also check traderonline.com

Run while you still can !!! You will become adicted to the board and you'll be posting all hours of the day and night ! IF you go away from home you'll have the shakes before you get back to check on the board to see the latest happenings !

Where do you stay when you go to La Crosse? The Bikini Yacht Club is usually the hot spot, in my opinion....but I also work for the Marine Company that owns it:D Just had a group of about 10 boats make the run down to La Crosse from the twin cities in early Oct. All bajas and formulas (25-38ft.). Fun group.

Well its kind of a long story but here I go.

La Crosse- I have a good friend that lives there. MY Girlfriend has relatives there and a friend that used to own a bar there(Benny's). So I've been know to frequent Lacrosse a few times a year.

We where down for Octoberfest and I saw that group you where talking about. I never got a chance to talk to them. When we arrived at 8pm our friends where already very drunk and fighting and needed a sobber ride home. So I was a good friend and drove them home instead of partying. So we got to see a whole half hour of October fest this year. I saw that group of boats in Pool 5 when they where on there way home Sunday. A buddy said there was a bunch of booby flashing coming from them too.:D

I have yet to boat down myself. But the others do and stay at River Jacks. They(40 plus people) went down and stayed there about 3 years ago when it was the Moxy and where banned for life. But with new owneres they where allowed back.:) :)

The Bikini Yacht club is a nice place but to far from town and no accomidations. Get those motels opened back up and we'll be down.

Welcome 1Malibu, Listen to Boot, this is very addictive. Looking for 23’ sport boat? Yea right. In no time you will be trying to find Skaters Phone #, visions of #6’s and sponsons will be all you will see, when some one says “V” bottom, the next thing you will associate it with will be Top Gun, or Apache. Just ask Uncle Toys. Poor Joe. He started out very normal, not so anymore.
