Great pics but they need tweaking. Yeah, I'm bored.

this was my first attempt with a drone...sorry but with more practice i could be getting decent side/front shots for free. so what if they aren’t “professional”. I spent 0$ on them.

I wasn’t even trying to shoot the bullet...but still managed to get a good shot.

First time flying it following a boat...

Wasn't it a Boatpix chopper that crashed many years ago at the LC Poker Run and is still the bottom of the lake?

thirdchildhood 11-29-2020 04:30 PM

Very nice shot. How is that not professional except that the resolution seems a bit low. Are you shooting in 4K?

I believe you are right. It was an R22 and yes it is still at the bottom in beaver creek.

It would only matter if you were to make a print of it, not an 8 x10, like a 24 X 36 or bigger.

That out of place water spray.....is not out of place, it was so rough that day that it's actual spray from punching through a wave

Oh, cool! But there are still small shadows in each top corner from the helicopter door that a professional should have removed.;)

Can you post a pic of them? They did some horrible proofs of mine. Completely changed the color of my boat, removed the shadow underneath, etc. I really wanted the prints but had a hard time to get them done right.

Nah, I didn't buy the digital copies so I don't own the rights to them. They weren't even worth taking a shot of to be honest. That's pretty crazy they edited your boat so much.. mine looked untouched and they kinda needed some editing.

The drone pictures look cool if guy with remote is in another boat!

Old thread...but DJI just released a new FPV drone that shoots in 4K video. It retails for $1200. It can do 87-90mph which should be plenty fast for shooting video. For anyone interested...

No doubt, but Pete is not up here in Michigan and to have a custom helicopter shoot would be crazy expensive. Poker run photos often have messed up looking water from the other boats.

It may have changed but it was around 500 an hour for the helicopter and pilot. Good pilot has done a lot of OPA races, based out of Toledo.

$500 an hour AND you get full digital copies of all pics taken would be a deal. I can edit the pictures and have them printed in any size at Costco as long as there are in high def. Problem is that I'd want a solo photo shoot in undisturbed offshore water! That is just not going to happen.
