Default West Coasters please help..

The photo below is a video capture taken off Speedvison a few years ago.
My buddy is building a marina here in Florida and would like to replicate that arrangement of the Dolphins in the fountain at the entrance.

Does anyone know where that fountain is?? AND how I can get in touch with the builder??

I have heard that the fountain is somewhere near the Colorado river or Havasu.

In advance-Thanks for your help...

Sorry I can't be of much help but I can tell you it is definitely not Havasu and judging from the mountains in the background I would say it is not on the Colorado River. Good luck.

My wife and I run an artist retreat and have tons of artist contacts. If you seriously want to replicate that fountain just let us know what size you want and we can find an artist to make one for you. Our friend George Sumner is one of the most famous dolphin artists and has made works for Gorbachev, NASA, and many others. One that size in bronze probably cost as much as a fountain boat though.

Thanks for the feedback but no drawing needed at this time. We are in discussions with some specialty builders of fountains and statues who both have done lots of work for Disney and Las Vegas hotels.
The most recent negotiations come out at about $100,000, with each dolphin being about 15ft in length and the fountain wall about 18 in high and a diameter of 20 feet.
The people bidding on the project were curious as to how the 3 were connected and would such connections last thru a wind of 130mph which is code for such a structure here in Florida.
thanks again

Marc,
That sounds like a good price for a work of that magnitude. Make sure you get a gauranteed delivery date, artists are worse than boat guys at getting things done on time, if that is even possible

Default Tom,

Good point and how true.

Initially the person incharge of doing the sculpting stated 2-3 months ARO. Ten minutes later I asked whats a realistic time frame you would be comfortable with? His reply..3-4 months.

Hi Marc,

I think that fountain is in Canada: Kelowna, British Columbia.

BK is correct,
The fountain is in what they call the lagoon at the Grand, to get into the Lagoon from the lake you have to go through a Lock to raise you approx6-8feet. If you stay at the Hotel that is where you keep your boat, it's really neat, unless you are in a hurry to get out, it's about a 15-20 minute lock thru and sometimes there is a good size line.
