Unhappy OT-How can I save 1500 photos?

Help....
I really screwed up my CD. I have a CD-rw and was loading some more photos on it (I thought I had more space on it than I did).
It is now in the condition of being over loaded and does not operate correctly at all. Sometimes it loads other times my drives (I've tried both my cd/DVD (D) and cd-rw (E)drives just sit there with a spinning sound.
If and when they do load some photos appear destroyed. When I try and copy photos in a group (trying to save them on another drive), I get the message that a particular file cannot be read and it will not copy any that I have highlighted.
Also if I try and delete a single photo it asked if I want to delete all my photos..
Is there any way I can save this disk and get the photos to another??
Thanks
marc

What is probably happening is that Windows need to read ALL the photos on the CD before it will properly open the file listings. I have had this happen on CDs that I put too much stuff on-especially with my older, slower computer. Try inserting the disc and then opening it in My Computer-give it a lot of time and it should eventually all open and be usable.

give it time to load. Try opening one pic then closing.
