I cant believe this was such a low budget chitty film. I swear they filmed the whole movie with an iPhone. Did anybody else feel like they were watching a cheap soap opera? Even if you put the technical boat details aside, it really, really sucked.

It had a pretty decent list of actors:
Travolta
Jordi Molla - Always plays a drug lord. Great job in the movie Blow
Tom Sizemore - Glad he is back, love this guy. Epic performance in Saving Private Ryan
James Remar
Jennifer Esposito

Tom Sizemore looked like a broken down old man. He was a badass in Heat/Blackhawk Down but its like his grandfather showed up for this movie.

The movie certainly had its "angle" on the life and death aspect. I love the "Miami" boating scenes with mountains in the background. The boat racing scene to Nassau looked like they spliced in clips from the George Clooney movie the "Perfect Storm!" It took me 3 attempts to see the whole movie, fell asleep twice.

So, besides the super cheesiness of that scene (or the movie as a whole), anyone else notice two different boats they were running in the scene? There looked to be a really nice all white café? Whos boat? thing looked good.

My fiancé surprised me by ordering this movie up on Pay per View last night. It was awful. Poor acting, poor direction, absolutely stone age special effects, and pathetic (for the most part) boats. At least she liked it.
