OT-How can I save 1500 photos?
Help....
I really screwed up my CD. I have a CD-rw and was loading some more photos on it (I thought I had more space on it than I did). It is now in the condition of being over loaded and does not operate correctly at all. Sometimes it loads other times my drives (I've tried both my cd/DVD (D) and cd-rw (E)drives just sit there with a spinning sound. If and when they do load some photos appear destroyed. When I try and copy photos in a group (trying to save them on another drive), I get the message that a particular file cannot be read and it will not copy any that I have highlighted. Also if I try and delete a single photo it asked if I want to delete all my photos.. Is there any way I can save this disk and get the photos to another?? Thanks marc |
What is probably happening is that Windows need to read ALL the photos on the CD before it will properly open the file listings. I have had this happen on CDs that I put too much stuff on-especially with my older, slower computer. Try inserting the disc and then opening it in My Computer-give it a lot of time and it should eventually all open and be usable.

give it time to load. Try opening one pic then closing.
By the way...did you used to own a 40 Sonic??? |
Ted-Thank you I just transferred 2,254 photos from the corrupt disk to my hard drive. I will be more careful in the future..
