Skat,

I have thought about it too. With my one year warranty I got 70 Hrs figure average speed might have been 20 MPH (this is probably way high). 7 of those hours were because the key was left on untill the battery died (dealers fault). So that gives me 63 actual Hrs the first year times 20 = 1260 miles. Would you by a new car with a 1260 mile powertrain warranty?

Put 25hrs on the Saber , the Sterlings used 2100 gal.

Put 70hrs on the center console, the 250 Yamaha used 600 gal.

Amazingly they both went about the same distance, right around 2000 miles, luv em both. JD

Just sent in my receipts for a fuel tax refund. 1550 gallons and 123 hours equals 12.6 average gallons per hours. Not too shabby for twin 496HO's!

Have to believe that I lost some receipts along the way.....

105 hours this year for first year on boat. What is a tax refund? I live in Michigan where everything but my underwear is taxed without a refund!

Virginia levies a 17.5 cent highway tax on each gallon of gas purchased. They offer a refund of that tax to boaters. Do the math....it makes sense to save the receipts!! I will be putting my refund towards a new GPS.

Michigan levies a 37 cent tax for the worst roads in the country and returns jack to us boat owners. I probably spent $1200 in gas this summer, boy getting 1/4th back would have been really nice.
