From Fort Myers up to Tampa is a great place to live. Boating wise, the gulf is awesome. I wish I had a chance to move there, I would jump on it. We go to Ft. Myers/Beach every year for vacation.

I have lived in Cape Coral/ Fort Myers now for 12 years. So far very happy with that decision. If you have any questions let me know.

It`s hot/humid as balls, all salt water boating, old people everywhere and most years you get a nice hurricane and your boats ends up in the parking lot of a Wallmart. Otherwise it`s nice .:lolhit:

My wife and I bought a small second home in Punta Gorda Isles a few years ago - we really like the area. Yes it gets hot, but I absolutely hate the cold. And Im getting old anyway.

We stayed there and tested boats with Powerboat Mag a few years back. What an AWESOME place! Clean, mellow, not over crowded, nicely laid out. I just got the impression that it was a little better thought out and newer than the east coast. Lots of retiree's which some complain about but retirees don't bring crime. I'd love to live there.

I wouldn't hesitate. I spend time in Naples and that whole region is really beautiful, safe and the growth is really strong. Some of the beaches are amazing and the boating is excellent.

Don I just might take you up on that. Thank you. |
Ask Don for sure. Winters aren't bad over there but the Summers run hotter than the east coast and more humid. Good ICW boating all the way to Tampa Bay.
